Sports Clubs

We are a group of road cyclists who meet every Sunday for cycle rides around the local area of Shipston on Stour Warwickshire. We welcome all for a social ride on Road bikes from beginner to experienced Sportive rider or Triathlete. We normally have a short café stop which usually involves coffee, cake and plenty of chatter. Everyone is welcome, young, old, male and female, nobody gets left behind. Group size varies but is usually 8 to 16. We usually have a slower group who set off ten minutes earlier.

Shipston on Stour RUFC is a friendly Rugby Union club based in the small market town of Shipston on Stour. The first team play in Midlands 3 West meanwhile the 2nd and Veterans teams both play regular fixture in the South Warwickshire Leagues. We are especially proud of these teams as they regularly do well against much older and larger clubs. We are now in our twelth season of Minis & Juniors rugby with over 230 kids running around the three pitches on a Sunday morning.

We have recently become one of the few clubs in the UK to hold the RFUs full Whole Club Seal of Approval .award. This shows our dedication to the game and our links to the community something for which we are very proud of.

Shipston is a thriving club which can boast success in the adult leagues and a full programme of team coaching, club nights and social sessions. The junior programme is run by tennisolutions and offers comprehensive training with potential being spotted and nurtured by head coach, Mark Boden and his team of coaches. The club meets at the London Road

Sports Club (21 London Road, Shipston on Stour CV36 4EP) where we have two all-weather, floodlit courts and coaching often takes place at the three courts at Shipston High School.
