This year’s annual Wool Fair was opened by BBC presenter Sue Cook.  The sixth Wool Fair run by the Shipston Town Council celebrates it’s history and everything about sheep and wool.  This year the Shipston Heritage Centre has been set up in the recently vacated post office gift shop. Equipment and information about Shipston’s wool heritage is on display and will be open until the end of September.

The finished Shipston Tapestry was unveiled by TV historian Bryan McNerney.  This was designed by Ros Lobb from the Stratford Guild of Weavers, Spinners and Dyers and woven by locals as a map of the landscape around the Shipston area.
