Walford & Round are a family run firm of Opticians, established in 1927. From the original practice in Banbury, the company has expanded to have opticians in Brackley, Shipston On Stour, Solihull and Stratford Upon Avon. To ensure that the glasses we supply are always manufactured to the highest standards, we also operate our own glazing laboratory in the village of Adderbury.

We offer a comprehensive eyecare service including eye examinations, contact lens fitting & aftercare, industrial and occupational vision screening as well as home visits. In most cases your optometrist will be responsible for every aspect of your eyecare, from the initial examination through to frame selection and final adjustments when you return to collect your new glasses.

Our practices are committed to helping the environment by reducing, re-using and re-cycling whenever possible. For example if you give us an email address, we will send you an email when your next appointment is due, saving the environmental impact of the letter and envelope. We also collect second-hand glasses for re-use in the developing world and pass these to the local Lions clubs who take part in a national program to ensure these glasses find a second life where they are most needed. Finally each of our practices has it’s own recycling policy so that any materials that can be recycled are separated out correctly rather than going to landfill.
