The George Inn
The George InnInformation
The Bar at the George is traditionally English and frequented by locals and visitors. It’s a place where farmers meet and walkers recover. You will meet all types here. There is a regular selection of ales from the local Hooky brewery, an inglenook fireplace, stone mullion windows and some historic panels. There is even a suit of armour in the corner – which is known as George. The room dates before 1350 when the stonemasons who built the church were housed at the inn. Outside we have a large garden with seating, conservatory, covered smoking area and a car park. Dogs and children are welcome.
The Horseshoe Inn
The Horseshoe InnInformation
We are a ‘REAL pub serving REAL food’. We buy as much of our produce from local suppliers as we can thereby ensuring freshness and quality at all times. We like to give customers what they want – quality food & generous portions at affordable prices.
At the heart of our ethos is the fact that pubs should be fun places to be where people of all generations and backgrounds can mix in convivial surroundings and enjoy friendly ‘banter’.
We are not a ‘sports bar’, but that’s not to say we never show the television – for example, during the 6 Nations Rugby tournament & Cheltenham meeting, our TV certainly does come out ‘to play’. Similarly, the jukebox is not played at lunchtimes, but does help to create a party atmosphere on weekend evenings.
We encourage traditional pub games including Cribbage, Dominoes and Aunt Sally (seasonal).
We also provide free Wi-Fi access.
The Howard Arms
The Howard ArmsInformation
On the picturesque village green of Ilimington, set in the crook of the Cotswold Hills, lies The Howard Arms, a stunning, 400-year-old Cotswold stone inn.
The stylish pub and dining room provide the ideal backdrop for an appealing mix of old furniture, broad polished flagstones and a log fire that burns for most of the year.
Upstairs, three beautiful bedrooms have been joined by five newly-built sumptuous and spacious bedrooms which all boast separate power shower and bath, free internet access and iPod docks.
Ultimate luxury and comfort are the focus of each bedroom which offer beautiful big beds with hand-stitched and sprung mattresses, modern fabrics and a clever mix of antique furnishings to ensure that each room offers its own personality.
As the Howard Arms is sited away from main roads or street lights, a good night’s sleep will leave you revitalised and refreshed, ready to enjoy our ‘famous’ three-course breakfast.
